2018 AUSTRALIAN YARD DOG ASSOCIATION

PRESIDENT’S REPORT

My congratulations & thanks to all committee members who have represented their State since the 2017 AGM in Bendigo, Victoria. I have valued the input from the two Advisory committee representatives & all the committee in the discussions we have had, both on a personal basis & during our teleconferences.

As a committee we have worked co-operatively & in consultation to develop a large number of recommendations to be ratified at the 2018 AGM. There has been a lot of effort put into the agreed resolutions being presented at our AGM.

I believe that our teleconference meetings between AGMs has allowed each committee member to be more fully informed about the issues of our Association.

Thank you for your willingness to work towards improving our Association & the championship trials for the future.

Because the National Kelpie Field Trial Championship is celebrating a special milestone in 2019, we will be holding the Australian Yard Dog Association Championship in New South Wales during 2019 instead of in Queensland. This is a change in the rotation but hopefully in 2020 we can return to the normal rotation & travel to Queensland.

Thanks Hayden for keeping me up to date with your plans & best wishes to the Western Australian group for a successful event.

Good luck to all competitors. Do your best & be proud of your achievements.

Rex Hocking (Australian Yard Dog President)
