Trial Convenors

Newsletters are published in March, June, September and December.

If trial convenors would like to have their entry form included there is a new form where you can add in your details. Please refer to the link to your right. Once completed please send it to the Secretary (preferably by email) by the last week of the preceding month.

Convenors are requested to reject entries which do not quote a current VYUFDA membership number. This applies to all competitors and a regularly updated list of current members is posted on this website

VYUFDA Trial Results

Convenors please send results to the Secretary by email

All competitors must be full financial members or a junior member for those under 18 years of age. We will be posting a list of financial members in the Membership section of the website. Convenors are invited to send the draw to for verification of membership status. Convenors are requested to reject entries from Victorian residents who do not or cannot quote a membership number. Interstate competitors must confirm their interstate membership is current.

There is one important change for the Local/ Encourage class. The Association will allow genuine local people to compete in the Local/Encourage class only without having to pay a subscription on one occasion during the season. It is important to note this is an experiment and is only for locals who participate in one trial each year.

The affiliation fee is $30 for the 2018 season but with a limit of $60 for any one convenor for the season. This means if you run 3 or more trials a fee for the 3rd and subsequent trials is not payable.

Interstate Membership

All competitors and judges participating in VYUFDA trials must be VYUFDA members.

There is a category of membership for interstate competitors and judges participating in trials in Victoria. Interstate people have the option of Full or Interstate membership.

Interstate competitors may apply to the Treasurer for Interstate Membership by providing proof of membership with their home Association and payment of $30. The term of membership is from 1st January to 31st of December each year.

An Interstate Member number will be issued and this process must be completed prior to entries being lodged.

Competitors who are full members of either NSWYDA or SAYDA will not be charged a fee, BUT they must apply for Interstate membership and upon acceptance will be issued a competition number. Being a member of NSWYDA and SAYDA does not mean you will have your membership application accepted by the VYUFDA.

Interstate members will have the same constitutional rights as Supporting members and will not be eligible for awards such as High Point Dog of the Year.

Convenors appointing interstate judges will be required to pay the subscription, [if not from NSW or SA],  and arrange for the judge concerned to complete the membership form.
