 YDC.\nBendigo Trial – Good news! We are back on the main arena for the Sho
 w. Camping is back around the stables as per usual. Enter in through Gate 
 1 off Holmes Rd or Gate 3 at the bottom of Kookaburra Av.\nThere will be l
 imited parking around the area this year so try and arrive earlier.\nPart 
 of the arena has been made available for our use but the majority is still
  deemed a construction zone and is unavailable for use.\n***Please note\; 
 Dogs can only be entered on one course\, either Maiden/Novice or Improver/
 Open\nThis year the yard dog trial at Bendigo will attract the very best c
 ompetition working dogs to the Central Victorian Yard Dog Championships\, 
 this event has become one premier trials on the calendar for both local an
 d interstate competitors.\nThese competitors and their dogs are a highly t
 rained unit\, with the majority of the competitors working stock in their 
 everyday lives but enjoy the travel and competition that comes with the sp
 ort. Those spectators watching the action\, whether they are active stockp
 ersons or interested onlookers will appreciate the skill of both the handl
 er and their dogs. These highly trained dogs started as cute little puppie
 s and over time have been nurtured and trained into these very skillful wo
 rking dogs that are essential to the livestock industry.\nThere will be tw
 o courses operating each day\, set up to showcase the working dogs ability
  to both gently move and at times use clever force to guide the sheep arou
 nd the course within a set time frame.\nCompetitors and their dogs begin t
 he course with 100 points and are carefully watched by the experienced jud
 ge\, points are deducted for the various misdemeanours that may occur.\nTh
 e Open/Championship judge is Darren McCainch and the Maiden/ Novice Judge 
 Mitch Jubb.\nThe Championship is decided over three rounds where consisten
 cy is the key and rewarded when scores are added to determine the winner.
